I swear, what happened to November? It was here for a few days and suddenly December slaps me up the side of the head... This only means that the next few weeks will likely be chaos, thanks to final exams and final projects due up to the 18th.
Anyways, it looks like I had another image of mine spike up in the charts again
Needless to say, I'm ecstatic that this has happened not once, but twice now! To all my new 218 and counting watchers from this, I extend a warm welcome and thank you for the support and constructive comments you all have given so far
Speaking of which, however, some of my images tend to be getting a lot more comments recently -- I'm absolutely thrilled by this, and I appreciate many of the constructive and encouraging comments that I have received as well! I have tried to respond to every comment I can in the past, but if this keeps up, I'll be spending more time replying to comments than I will doing anything else in the future. Out of respect and out of a desire not to have a quick "pastable" response to comments, I think I will be altering how I reply to comments: instead of responding to every comment, I will likely omit replies to comments that are similar to "very cool," "nice job," or so forth. This isn't to say that I don't appreciate these comments -- far from it, I enjoy hearing comments on my work -- but the volume of comments I receive that are like this are too substantial to provide individual responses that aren't repetitive to hand out.
Now, another thing I wish to address is regarding people approaching me to use my artwork. Every now and then, I receive notes or comments from people asking to use my artwork for varying purposes, for free publicity or whatever else. Please note -- most of my artwork is standalone artwork that I may print eventually, and out of respect to people purchasing my artwork, I cannot offer these pieces to be used for such purposes unless appropriate compensation is offered.
If you're approaching me and looking for textures, artwork to be used as cover artwork for something, or whatever reasons, I would be willing to consider commissions, but please, do not ask me to hand over high-resolution images of popular artwork of mine for "free publicity."
On to happier things! I'm currently working on getting images rendered for gallery showings in January, at which point I hopefully will have prices up for artwork, should people want to buy any prints!
Anyways, as I've stated in the prior two journals, I'm still looking for insight into commissioning someone for a new profile picture, so if anyone knows of someone or can do so...please let me know XD If you've made it this far, I commend your ability to read my lengthy walls of text that I've created, and wish you a wonderful evening ^_^
