I love these geometric cube scenes. I also decided to try out Indigo on this, and holy beans it's fast. But yeah, I hope you enjoy it ^_^

Blender 2.62 + Indigo

Astonishing psychedelic tunnel, very cyberpunk IMO.

Seems like a wormhole or warp portal- I can just imagine all of these cubes frantically rotating around me as I go through it :b

Neat! It's complicated, but not hard on the eyes. Whenever I might bogged down in one part of it, the curve and perspective just draws my eye along smoothly.

Thank you very much for the constructive comment :) I'm glad it seems to "flow" pretty well!

Pretty cool. A bit too busy overall, wish it was done with less "code" ;)

Haha, I do agree that it's quite busy. The main issue is that the white blocks do have transparency - and if it weren't for that, I'd think that it'd not appear anywhere near as busy. All the reflections and bending of light through the transparent cubes does add quite a bit of noise to this!

Thank you for the constructive criticism - I appreciate it :D

Gotta love the holy beans :P

Indigo is rendering software (similar to Cycles and Luxrender)- [link] .

Very nice.

Never tried Indigo, going to try an figure out how you modeled this.

It wasn't very hard at all to model. If you can't figure it out, I'd certainly be happy to share how I did it :P

Getting the curve and camera settings probably was the hardest part from my recollection XD

It might require a bit of computing resources (given that there's 121k faces in the scene), but the real killer here is render time, which is highly dependent on your rig.

[link] and [link] are stylistically similar versions rendered in Luxrender.

Guess you are going to have to tell me, can't quite figure it out.

First hint:

You only need one object (a cube). Scale it down so that it's small - and then increase the height of it so that you have a 3d rectangle.

Second hint:

As you only need to use one cube; what modifier will take one object and make multiple instances of it? Chances are, it's at the top of the list alphabetically.

Tried that but couldn't get them to array in a circle.

Aye, that's pretty nice. It's a bit dark though, are you using indirect lighting?

That's only one of...three that I use. :P Plus, there's still getting them on different levels, texturing it, and then the looooong process of rendering it.
