This is simply genius. One of the very best Apo works I've seen, and probably the most unique. Fantastic!

Thank you very much!  The grainy effects are a product of the rendering and blurs -- I love how it looks, and honestly prefer grain like this to something that's entirely homogeneous and smooth myself.

Oh, and grats on the DD you received as well :D

I absolutely love and adore your work, you are really amazing at what you do.

I am just curious, how come, that you don't allow your magnificent work for free to any one, that find your work outstanding and divine, just for the feeling of joy. The energy of your work is unlimited, it is beyond and so are YOU,... and it expands with the feeling of joy, love and appreciation. Money is only a by product of JOY.

I own my artwork, and what I decide to do with it is my decision.  Allowing people to use my artwork for free would not give me "joy," as you so describe.  What would happen if I had to sell artwork for a living...as an artist?  I would probably get nowhere by allowing my artwork to be used for free >.>

I couldn't agree with you more,....and isn't it fun and so good to know that you can always
think whatever you want, decide whatever you want, and is pleasing for you, regardless of what other
people are saying or think.

Love your work.

There are a few things of mine that I like a loooot more than this particular fractal, but I'm glad that you enjoy how this looks :D

Go check out my gallery then :P  At the very least, check out fav.me/d75xn8c  -- it honestly is one of my favorite things that I have made, and I think it pretty much leaves this in the dust. /shameless self promotion

I do make fractals that are a bit different than what is typically seen in the fractal art gallery, that I cannot deny XD  I just enjoy making what I am making, and see fractals as a way to illustrate scenes and concepts, not just geometric stuff.

lol you're REALLLLLLYY good! And it's cool that you use it to illustrate. I think that's part of what makes it cooler

It took me a second to notice that you wrote "Apo" and not "Alpo" (the dog food).  The picture confused the hell out of me when I read that...

Haha, yeah, that would be a bit strange to include dog food in my creative process XD

Very shiny dog food too.  ...It might just be the insomnia talking but a glow in the dark dog would be awesome!

I take triangles, move dots around, change settings, and eventually wind up with something.  That's pretty much what I do in a nutshell.

In all seriousness, I do have a few tutorials on the bottom left of my page that would introduce you to making fractals, though what I do here is incredibly hard to explain on a tutorial :|

Nice and one more question how to you get that neon brightness?
Reply
:iconchaosfissure:
ChaosFissure Featured By Owner Mar 29, 2014  Hobbyist Digital Artist
That's a combination of low gamma, moderately high brightness, and color curves.

My profile has some tutorials on how to get started with fractal artwork, though what I make right now is very hard to explain in a tutorial because it's pretty much letting my mind go wild.

Well, the first thing that I suggest you look at is the bottom left of my profile page -- there are many links and tutorials that I present there that might initially be of help.  Once you read through them (at least the introductory one I have at the very top), or if you have any questions about anything, I'd be more than happy to provide what help I can.

I would suggest looking at the tutorial and trying the software out first; if you find the software too complicated or not something you wish to use, then that would probably be better to find out before trying to delve into more complicated topics.
